Here it is with my SIG 226, an MSAR rifle, and a mean looking Swenson chopper... flaps on the mag pouches tucked in so you can access the mags quicker.
The first 2 days after I got the bag it was raining so all I could do was load it up with goodies and fondle it. When the rain finally stopped and the weekend was finally upon me I was able to take it out and do some real testing on it. I was able to fit a lot of goodies in it without it being too heavy. It has a stowable waist belt that comes in handy for distributing the weight better to keep your shoulder from tiring. And it keeps it from flopping around when you have to move fast.
Here the waist belt is stowed in its sleeve on the back.
Here are the items I put in it:
A fishing kit in a 35mm film canister
Snare wire
Aqua mira filter straw
A match safe with lifeboat matches and some tinder quick tabs
A small bag of extra tinder quick tabs
A swedish fire steel with waxed jute tied to the lanyard for extra tinder
A Petzl E light head lamp with extra batteries
Water purification tablets
Diamond sharpening rod
Gerber sliding saw
Small amount of 1 inch wide Gorilla tape
Esbit stove and 4 fuel tabs
A 9 hour candle wrapped in aluminium foil
50 feet of para cord
an army poncho
A bandana
Surefire nitrolon LED flashlight
SIG 226 pistol
I still had room to put a stripped down MRE in and a few power bars ...
I added a small roly poly to the side of it to carry my stainless Guyot bottle and my sno peak titanium mini solo cookset. It has molle webbing on both sides.
I also used a tec lock to attach my RAT 3 neck knife to the removable shoulder pad.
Now for some beauty shots.
My brother (Gun Slinger) was nice enough to model it for me.
