The Al Mar SERE 2000 is world renown as one of the strongest tactical folders in existence. Originally designed by Al Mar and Colonel Nick Rowe in the early 1980s for the U.S. Army's SERE school, today's updated models are stronger, lighter and the most precision versions ever made. Available in matte black chrome or satin finished VG-10, today's SERE 2000 features pillar construction, flow through design, dual thumbstuds and reversible Deep Pocket Clip for discreet carry. The SERE 2000 delivers the kind of performance you need in the real world.
The SERE 2000 S2KB has a 3.6" blade of matte black chrome VG-10. This spear point blade has a sleek false edge and an dual ambidextrous thumb studs for quick and smooth one handed opening.
The handle of the SERE 2000 is textured G-10 scales. It has an incredibly comfortable and secure grip that gives wonderful control. Oh yes, we have one of these currently in testing. The reversible black clip truly does provide a secure and discreet carry while keeping the SERE easily accessible and the Liner Lock action is smooth and secure.
The SERE 2000 has proven so far to be a serious knife for serious carry. Although larger than the sleek, light EDCs of the gentleman and lady, the SERE has shown itself to be a most useful instrument to have at one's side. An excellent blade to clip in or on a bag or pack as well.
