The Maxpedition GearSlinger series the premium line of single shoulder packs that bridge the design/functional gap between Maxpedition's classic double shoulder strap Backpacks and their uniquely innovative Versipacks.  The single shoulder design allows faster on-and-off, particularly over LBV and body armor and are superior to backpacks in terms of balance and comfort when using a single strap.  While there are other "messenger" bags on the market, Maxpedition promises a much more durable product with all the bells and whistles needed for life on the battlefield and in everyday urban use.  You can expect the Maxpedition quality and "thoughtfulness" you have come to depend upon and love.
 

 

The Maxpedition Typhoon GearSlinger (#0409) is a medium size single shoulder pack with over 900 total cu. in. of storage.  The quick release padded non-slip shoulder strap has six rows of PALS webbing for attachment of accessories.  Based on a rectangular design, the main compartment contains numerous internal accessory pockets.  The lower of the two pockets in front has an organizer for pens and other small tools combined with an internal keyper.  One side has an adjustable lid sheath and small square pocket while the other side is full of PALS webbing to attach accessories and bungee to secure longer pouches such as the #0207 Mini Rollypoly water bottle holder.  The Typhoon has a Y-shaped top compression strap and two bottom compression straps.  A top zipper lock device presents accidental or unauthorized opening of pack.  A removal 1.5" adjustable waist strap provides additional support and security. 

 

The Maxpedition Typhoon is compatible with hydration system up to 50oz reservoir (e.g. Camelbak PakTeen).  It has a Velcro drink tube port and drink tube retainers on the shoulder strap.  The hydration pocket is also equipped with loop side Velcro for attachment of the Hook & Loop Modular Accessories such as the Universal Modular Holster.
